Can you dig into the ground, or do you actually need a pile of loose dirt to move? I'm going to try to build a small motocross track, and need to know if i would need a small backhoe too.

From a landscaper - Yes you can. It takes some practice but once you get the hang of it you can do anything you need to for your track. Excavating - grading - backdragging. They turn on a dime so just make sure you're going either forward or backwards while turning otherwise you'll churn up a lot of ground. Good luck with your project.
