The people there the precursors to the Romans were the Etruscans. They started a culture that evolved into the Roman Empire.

Hannibal's mountain challenge probably refers to his crossing of the alps to invade Rome from the north, with elephants no less.

Common people refers to people not of noble blood, or not royalty.

lol youre doing the same worksheet as me then. The Latins founded rome, kings ruled rome before the republic, the senate is the kings council of elders, the common people are plebians, and tribunes represent plebians
