it was supposed to be a trilogy so i was wondering if they just gave up or what

Actually, there were three movies made about Riddick (but the third film was animated).

1. Pitch Black (2000)
2. Chronicles of Riddick: (2004)
3. Chronicles of Riddick: Dark Fury (animated 2004)

I saw a DVD package which contained all 3 movies, The Riddick Trilogy, available at Coconuts.
