how can i convince my mom to let me get the sims?

especially with the new sim version coming out, i want to get it more than ever. i've been begging my mom since i was 12, and im almost 16, so how can i convince her to let me get it? everytime i bring it up she gets really annoyed because she is totally against the whole playing god thing.

Wow, since you were twelve! I think that's when I got my first one. Wow, I don't think I can help you here. Try telling her that you can allow the Sims to think for themselves autonomously, so you won't be controlling them completely. Tell her you're not neccesarily playing God. It's a video game. Hell I dunno, try coming up with some life lesson that you can learn from the game.
You can also try telling her that you want the game solely to build houses, because building houses is awesome (which it is and some people actually play the game to do just this) while you do whatever you want. If she ever see's you playing with people in the houses you *build* then tell her, you want to use the Sims envirinment factor to know if you truly built a pleasing house:)
In my case, my Mum absolutely loved the music for shopping in The Sims, and she loved the fact that I could build houses and furnish them, she even wanted me to use The Sims 2 to help out with the building and furnishing of our new house!

Try telling your mom that the Sims game teaches you how to actually live a life...buy a house...buy furniture...sorta like a monopoly game with real people and real events...unless you use cheat codes >_<...also say that your mom can play the game too..im sure your mom would want some free time too once in a while

you could tell her that her sources are wrong because in Sims you dont play god, you play yourself, or just trying not to be bored, and always make up something that will prove that her sources are wrong , it always work.
