That would take care of the qb position. Then we could work on another weak area.

im a cowboys fan and i saw drew play, trust me the only way he wont get sacked is if someone teaches him to throw the football away whenever it is a bad problem, and teach him to not throw pics, or incompletions, he was worse than T.O. Terry Glenn was a good reciever and thats how Bledsoe got completions.

Drew is too old for what the raiders what to do. He not fast enough to get out of the pocket and the raiders O line they need someone who can get out of the pocket. I also think that they don't think bledsoe is going to put himself in a spot where porter and Moss want out and they have a coach that is as old as him so that would not be a very smart move by bledsoe.

I don't disagree, but here's the better question:

Why would Drew Bledsoe, or for that matter ANY QB with a shred of reputation left, consider signing with the Raiders? With their record, coaching debacle, lack of team morale or direction, offensive black hole, etc., many worthy QBs would rather retire than go Silver and Black.

Don't get me wrong, I love the Raiders and am an East Bay faithful - it pains me to cap on my team, but I don't think anyone would easily be enticed to sign with Mr. Davis anytime soon.

Best to you.

Just Win, Baby......please......

Not a good fit. Drew is still good, but he is a stand up pocket passer and the Raiders line is suspect. The Raiders (Al Davis) believe in the QB holding the ball as long as he can before throwing deep. He'd get killed

As a longtime Raiders fan I have lately been living in fear that might happen. He's Al's type of QB a strong arm, weak brained statue. He would not live very long behind the Raiders offensive line.

Because Drew Bledsoe is as slow as anything and makes stupid throws, and the Raiders don't have anyone who cares enough to catch it.

Because he's not a good QB anymore; that's why he got replaced by Tony Romo. He is definately older and way passed his prime. If the raiders do get him, it'll most likely be so they can use him to mentor Russell or another younger QB they will get.

Because he is old, and they need a young star at the helm, Drew is past his prime and on the way out of the NFL soon, and most teams know it, right now, he is considered at best a 2nd string though im sure some team will pick him up and try to start him for a while. I have nothing but respect for Drew, but his glory days are gone.

I don't think that that is the whole problem. The Raiders have SO MANY inconsistent gaps, Bledsoe is only a SMALL part of a HUGE puzzle.

Yeah, just like it took care of the cowboys qb position...and the bills qb position.....You would need a great o-line, something which neither of those teams, or the raiders, have.
You put him back there behind anything less than a great line and you're going to see sacks, youre going to see fumbles, you're going to see interceptions.
