We rented this straight-to-dvd movie called "Rest Stop." It was one of the worst films I've ever seen, and I've seen A LOT of movies. The trailer claimed it was too graphic and scary for theaters. I think it meant too stupid. The main character is left alone at an abandoned rest stop with a psycho killer, and every time she gets a weapon, she throws it away! She wastes the six bullets in her gun almost instantly by shooting through a door--what's the point of THAT?

There's a random ultra-christian family of zealots who advance the plot in no way. They're just their for some modicum of 'shock value' that fails on EVERY level.

And at the very end we're supposed to believe this entire time everyone we saw in the movie was a ghost, rendering the movie completely and utterly pointless. The best part is it claims that the writer and director of this horrendous film is a writer for both "The X-Files" and "Supernatural." I find it hard to believe that something so trite, insipid and ridiculous can be from a legimate, well-established writer and not from a college freshman.

Don't see it!

The new version of "The Wicker Man". It is just appalling!

Lost all of the eeriness of the original and changed the whole meaning of the story to try to make it appeal to the masses. When will main stream film makers realise that all good plots don't need dumbing down if the story is well told.

Zodiac with Jake Gyllenhaal, Robert Downey Jr. and Mark Ruffalo. Not worth the $9.50, maybe $7.
