Mollies are hardy and can survive in tank conditions others can't. Check your ammonia, nitrate, nitrite, and pH to make sure these aren't out of balance.

Mollies can kill beta's. All it takes is some serious fin nipping and that will stress the other fish and disease or tank conditions can finish the rest.

Hope it helps.

I highly doubt that any of the fish killed the others, you probably have bigger issues with the tank set-up. You should talk to an expert with fish, you should have a good filter, heater and change the water on a regular basis. Also, don't overfeed. Mollies prefer small amounts of aquarium salt in the water. Betta's are very docile fish except with other male Betta's, but a Molly should not really bother a Betta either.

Despite what most websites and pet stores say, livebearers are an semi-aggressive group of fish and will kill other fish. A molly is perfectly capable of killing a betta. I've had livebearers kill fish several times bigger than themselves.

Unlikely, it was probably a coincidence. When you get new fish I would take the mollies out of the tank, just in case.

Mollies won't kill other fish, they are community fish. We've had mollies with no problems at all. You need to test your water.

well number one beta are never supposed to be in a tank with another fish hence why when you are in the pet store they are all in seperate bowls... also I read that because mollies typically have longer fins most other fish will pick at them. typically mollies are gentle though but because of this it may have caused them to attack the other fish
