Even though it pains me to type this, Hulk Hogan is the most marketable wrestler of all time. He is a household name. His microphone talent has always been outstanding. his longevity continues to this day. The only down side would be his ring skills. They are very poor compared to some of the other greats from his era. I don't believe there is a legend that has all of theses traits, but Hulk Hogan comes pretty damn close.

The total package eh? Well that would have to be the Undertaker if you factor in everything. There are better ring performers who are not as franchisable and there are wrestlers with more charisma who have poor ring skills. And there are some who have the look and the skills to top the dead man, but just couldn't stay around. So, it is the Undertaker no debate.

To me there are 2 wrestlers that fit that quality equally:

Stone Cold Steve Austin. His promos have had some memorable quotes and he looked like he was really comfortable behind the mic. Everything just flowed for him. He's sold lots and LOTS of merchandise. He is a ring general and can definitely use tons of psychology to his advantage. His career was a very good length and I think it was good that he left WWE before he outgrew it.

The Rock. Same thing. His promos flowed and contained as much humor as overall believability. He sold millions.... and MILLIONS!... and millions of The Rock franchise for his fans. He was just fun to watch and very enjoyable in the ring. If people want to watch a match because you're going to oversell the stunner, that is a good thing. It shows fans enjoy every aspect of you. Anyway his career like Stone Cold's went out in a burning flame before it got old and stale.

The Excellence of Execution, The Greatest there is, was, and ever will be....Bret "The Hitman" Hart. Great Tag wrestler, Great singles, great rivalries, great mic man, and the last man to actually punch the a-hole McMahon.
