Hmmmm...came in the L...at 18!....and changed the game...3time champion..and just now reaching his prime.....how in the hell is he overated?

1.Did you grow up and watch MJ before 1991?

2.Ray Lewis?we are talking about basketball homie!

3)WATCH THIS......http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ju_rG3DtBnM Kobe was 19!............MJ couldn't gaurd him.

4)Are you baseing your arguement on Stats?Because if you are then.... yeah MJ scored 30+ early in his career but his teams sucked!....It took him a while to get great teamates(Scottie?)before he could win.

I agree lets wait before Kobe's career is over before we try to compare.

Well you can't really compare Kobe and MJ until Kobe's career is over, right? Let's put it this way, Kobe has won 3 championships by the age of 28 while MJ didn't win his first until he was 27. Kobe has a LONG way to go before he retires so I see him winning a few more champioships. As far as him being overrated as a player I highly doubt it even LeBron James has called Kobe the best player playing right now so you can't really argue with that. Just don't compare Kobe's career at 28 to MJ's whole career.

Are you kidding? MJ didn't have any competition like Kobe has now. Can you name alot of the players MJ had to face-off against? How about Kobe? There is tonnnnnnnnnnns more stars in the NBA now and the athletic part of the game has really gone up. Back then, MJ would go up against unknowns, but in todays game, almost every player is known. If you watch kobe, he can make impossible dunks, shots, lay-ups, passes and more. Kobe has way harder competition and he still does what MJ did against unknowns. Could you see Larry Bird against Kobe Bryant? He'd do the same thing MJ did. Could you see MJ beating people such as: Dwayne Wade, Carmelo Anthony, Lebron James, Allen Iverson, Tracy Mcgrady and so on? His team wouldn't even have won as many rings as they did if they had to play teams like the Suns in todays NBA.

Look at the players in your question you compared Kobe to, their teams either suck or are just average. The teams that suck have only the lone superstar, except for Seattle with Allen and Lewis, and the average teams have another prominent star i.e. Houston with T-Mac and Yao. Kobe is on a team with no help and still manages to end up in the playoffs. Please stop saying he has Odom because he is either injured or uninspired when he's healthy. Just in case you were going to reference Lebron keep in mind that he is in the east and if he were in the west his team would be a lower seed than Kobe's. Lebron might not be in the playoffs at all in the west if you consider he would be up against tougher competition overall.

Didnt quite understand everything there, but Kobe is not overrated, unless you are saying he is as good as MJ. He is not as good as MJ but he is still a fantastic player.

first of all i suggest u learn how to type and spell. second, u are retarted to say that kobe is overrated. yea people probly should not be comparing him to MJ but he is the leader of the lakers right now and if they didnt have kobe they would most likely be the worst team in the NBA right now
