Everybodys ideas are good ones, but the problem here is that we are talking about pet smell. If you try the above and it works, and it might, great. If it does not you will need to buy a product called Pet-Out. Our pets produce enzymes that lock in to fiber's surfaces, it is all part of their Territorial thing. Pet - Out has ingredients to destroy these enzymes, therefore the smell.

Good Luck

Someone else mentioned charcoal. I have the perfect product that I've used for years and know dozens of other people that use it. It is a product called FRIDGE IT odor absorbers. It is a little purple cube with an incredible activated carbon filter inside that is really, really, great. It works so much better than baking soda and all those sprays and fragrances that just cover up smells and doesn't get rid of them. Also, alot of sprays have warning statements about being eye irritant. The carbon literally absorbs and eliminates the odors and works for a long time. Just place a couple of these in the car and in the trunk.. I use this product everywhere including car, storage, closets, my fridge and also under sinks, near trash and have friends that use it on cat litter box and also diaper pails - it's that good. I really recommend it. You can buy it in kitchen gadget sections in stores like walmart and linens and things. I also think camping world sells it. Definitely worth trying.

Go and buy the Bounce dryer sheets that are scented with Febreeze. Open the box take 4 out and set one under each seat. Also you can rub a few more on the seats and carpet. Really works well. Just keep the whole box with you and leave it under a seat until you feel you need it again.

I really don't know how you would put this in your car, but coffee grounds will take the oder out. maybe you could put it in little bags and lay them in the seats for a day or so.
