I have experience with several different pieces of heavy equipment, just want to become certified.

I guess you are too serious to want to hear anything like "Keep eating till you break the 300 pound barrier" as a way to be a heavy equipment operator.

If not then go with the previous answerer who has the serious reply.

community college. ask for courses being offered. enroll on what you want $20 a unit only. if not type training classes for heavy equipment in yahoo or google search

Go through a union (operating engineers) apprenticeship program.
