FALSE, the speed of sound is about 343 m/s in air in water its around 1400 m/s. This has to do with the fact that liquids are incompressible and gases are easily compressed and that it is a compression type of wave (Longitudinal).

haha very funny, actually im a chemistry major and physics minor and just picked the name as a joke. I also work in a chemistry lab part-time...

False. Density enhances conduction. Vacuum = 0 density = 0 conduction. Sound carries further in water.

so its false, sound travels faster through denser materials.
