Both were about NCIS, one was asking when the 4th series starts, I have since learnt the answer and the other was asking what gift a character gave another. So there was nothing offensive.

People can report you question as a violation or offensive then Yahoo review this and remove it if they think they should.

Not always correctly.

There are normally two reasons why a question is deleted when they ought not to be.

1. You typed it wrong or put it in the wrong category. In which case the computer throws it out. That is when they tell you it is not a question nor an answer.

2. Some one reported you. They do that sometimes because they took offense something else you did and saw the chance to get even.

In some situations the Question is not removed. It is just lost in the server shuffle and it goes unanswered because few people scroll for good questions..

Did anyone answer before time ran out? If not, your question will be removed. They do let you extend the time period, but eventually, if there are no answers...adios.
I had this happen to two questions. It's a drag, because you don't get your 5 points back when they're removed.

Why was my question, answer, or comment deleted?
Yahoo! does not edit the content of questions, answers, or comments in Yahoo! Answers. However, we reserve the right to remove content that we determine, in our sole discretion, to be inappropriate and/or in violation of the Yahoo! Answers Community Guidelines or the Yahoo! Terms of Service. Depending on the level of offense, the offender risks deactivation of their Yahoo! ID and consequently everything associated with it, including email accounts, groups, posts, homepages, and profiles. If you are unsure whether your content is appropriate or consistent with these policies, please err on the side of caution and do not post it on Yahoo! Answers

Sometimes if someone reports one of the answers to your question, then Yahoo will delete the entire question, it's not fair aye?
