Well if he has waited 2 years he is already desperate. Give him a call a week later from time of recieving number. Dont accept a date to quick either. Please dont give up the sex to quick also.
Find out in the first conversation of what his goals are, pasionate about and values. The first conversation should tell if he has the smarts with the cuteness. The last thing you want to do is be caught in a no end web.

Honestly....I think most guys would want you to call them rather early. If he gave his number to you, I'm sure he wont think your desperate. Call after a day. If you have nothing to talk about, call him before a event that you guys can do together.
