I live in the suburban twin cities and except for the weather ...namely winter ...i love it here ,the people are very friendly the schools are good, the park and recreation system are stellar, there are several lakes in and around the city, all have beaches and walking/biking paths, the nightlife is good ,we have pro sports teams and plenty of concerts and other events, but the taxes are high here as are the cost of homes, but it is still probably cheaper than Hartford.

Thats a tough one...Minneapolis has the Mall of America, doesn't it?? While I would LOVE to live in New England, I would have a hard time passing up that mall!!! Good luck!
