Which requires more energy? To bark up the wrong tree or walk softly and carry a big stick.?

Walking softly always requires more endurance and stamina, however, barking will get a lot more attention. Barking is quicker and for someone who is impatient and has no intelligence to find a way to solve the problem, it may be the only solution that they can find at the moment. Moments always pass, though, just like bad dreams.

My dog barks herself silly up any tree she happens to pass. I carry a stick to be prepared for what I might have to do. The barking takes a lot more energy until you need the stick.
