Don't use dirt on the bottom. Use a fine calcium sand. I use calcium sand in all of my leopard geckos and it will not hurt them. take a plastic tubberware dish with a lid and cut a hole in the side of it and fill it with moist moss. Not only can they shed in there but she can also lay her eggs. They also like to bury their eggs so make sure whatever you use as a substrat is deep enough to bury the eggs in. When she lays the eggs remove them and put them in an incubator. The babies will get eaten if you don't.

Repti-carpet is a good substrate for msot reptiles and easy to clean. If you want a "safe" particle substrate have your parents drive you to home depot/lowes and buy a 50lb bag of childrens play sand for about $2.50. Play Sand is probably one of the safest particle substrates you can find.

You can buy a incubator online for $30 or $40 dollars, or make one easily. Get a plastic box (rubbermaid, gladware, etc..) and fill it with a 50/50 mix of peat moss and vermiculite. You'll probably want a hygrometer/thermometer combo to maintaint he levels of humidity and temperature you will need. An important thing with egg laying, DO NOT turn the egg's while moving them. Keep the part of the egg that is facing up facing up at all times.

You'll probably want to join an online community that deals with leopard geckos for the exact specifics you'll need to keep the egg's at.

Good luck.

One of the best websites that has information about reptiles is Kingsnake.com. I would recommend you check that one out. A fine pelleted bedding for reptiles would work fine, you can you Calci-Sand, its safe for reptiles to ingest. They are a desert species, so you don't want to use something that holds in to much moisture. Good luck!
