You can probably find your answers online, I did. I got married in another state than the one I lived, and I found everything I needed on TheKnot.com

This question is too general to get a simple answer because it all depends WHERE you plan to get married. Some states/provinces say the licence must be purchased within 60 days of wedding, some let you hold on to it for a year. Same goes with blood tets. You don't need a total physical exam, just a simple blood test. some places require a minimum of 3 days prior to getting the licence. Others do not. You really need to get your act together! If one of you has been married before, you will also need an ORIGINAL or CERTIFIED TRUE COPY of the FINAL divorce document a well. Same goes for your birth certificates - gotta have the originals. If your name has been changed, you need your documents for that as well. With the way people are jumping into marriages these days, they should add that you need proof of a premarital course as well. LOL!!! Call your local municipal licensing office and ask THEM. Without that information, no one on this website can honestly give you a correct answer.

Marriage licenses are only good for 6 months. So you can get the license 6 months before the big event or the day of. There is no need for a physical exam.

Depending on the state, you typically need to get the marriage license drawn no more than two weeks prior to the wedding. You can get it the same day or day before. Also depending on the state, you may or may not need a blood test/physical. Contact your local court house (this is where you'll get the marriage license) and ask them for information.

I have no idea about the physical aspect, because in NY we don't need one. But the marriage license is only good for 60 days (in NY anyway) which means that you have to get married and have your application in within 60 days from when you originally applied for it.

I would guess that the physical probably has similar requirements.

Good Luck!

It is going to depend entirely on the laws of the state you reside in. In Nevada for example, 48 hours is all that is required to establish residency and then get a license and no exam of any kind is needed. Each state differs so the best thing to do is to contact the county clerk or the dept. of vital statistics.

Your local town or city hall can tell you when you need to apply for the license, and I don't believe you need a physical.Alot of states you don't even need to do the blood tests anymore.Ask your physician to be sure.

Within 30 days of planned usage; and you don't need a physical in every state. Check with the local clerk's office; it varies
