i cannot install flash player or use active x controls in my internet explorer because it says that my current security settings do not allow this file to be downloaded. How can I fix this?

No can do till the upcoming fix for ActiveX controller issues in Vista.
Not even running as administartor will help.

1. use firefox.
2. go into the internet options (tools>internet options) choose security, put the slider down to medium, flash player is signed so it should download. then try again. otherwise i think there is a manual install you can do.

try changing ur firewall configurations or getting a new firewall all together. i nvr liked windows firewall, u can get zonealarm, which is free.
