i dont know what kind of shoes to wear.... (im wearing leg warmers and leggings) i dont have time to buy any shoes so i have to make with what i have at home; so what kind of sneakers do you think i should wear

If you have keds wear those. If not then wear a pair of really clean shoes and the less color on them the better. The other option is if you have a pair of Converse shoes wear those.

If you don't have any hightops just pull the leg warmers over your shoes. If you're strapped for cash, find a local salvation army and find some awesome '80's stuff there. LA gear hightops or reeboks will be your best bet

if you had time to shop , i'd suggest finding some jelly shoes :-)
but given the time restraints , if you have high heeled pumps of any color , that would be the way to go ...sneakers are also a good choice , especially chuck taylors.
