I had a fever the other day accompanied by chills and sensitive skin. I still had an appetite though. The next day I felt completely normal and no fever ever since. Anyone ever have something similar happen and if so, what caused it?

i had a fever all day saturday.. prior i had some coughing, achy body, and some common cold symptoms. once i got that fever sat i went to the doctor and she said it was the flu probably, but gave me antibiotics in case the coughing was a bronchitis symptom. anyway the fever was gone by mid-sunday.. and i had to get up for class today. =(

I don't know what caused it but I have had that happen. My best guess is that it was a short lived flu type illness that did not hit you too hard. Experts say that flu lasts a few days, but everyone does not have all the symptoms for that long.

Your body was probably just fighting off a mild illness: nothing too major to make you feel totally ill, but enough to slow you down. Our bodies are constantly staving off infections, so it could have been anything.
