Because a Make-up artist will take a blank canvas (a person with no make-up) and do tricks with make-up to contour their face and eyes to make them look like something totally different, Some artists can make a person look animalistic, others make them just look like different people, They can make the face appear thinner, eyes bigger, lips fuller.
Its amazing.

Because makeup transforms something pretty to something beautiful by accenting the good and disguising the bad. Matching makeup to hair and eye color is not easy. At least I don't think it is. Do you feel prettier or more confident after putting on makeup (if you wear it)? If yes, then that alone is enough to make me believe that makeup is art.
