Of those, actuary is probably the highest paying job.

I have a degree in mechanical engineering from RIT and currently work as a civil engineer. Definitely lots of math in any engineering field. I took 4 semesters of Calculus including differential equations. I also took a statistics course which was required and a financial math course as an option. There was also a mandatory upper level class called Advanced Computational Techniques that involved comuter analysis to solve indeterminate problems.

I use mostly algebra on a regular basis but it is definitely complex algebra and not just simple junior high school stuff. I also need to know the calculus because many of my reference books explain how equations are derived and it frequently involves Calculus. For example velocity is the derivative of displacement and acceleration is the derivative of velocity.

We use math constantly! Lots of Trigonometry for surveying work or to read maps and determine if boundaries are correct.

We need to determine the inertia of buildings under seismic loading (earthquakes) and we need to calculate water pressures so you can take a nice hot shower in the morning. We need to calculate expansion in the summer and contraction in the winter and loadings for bridges so they do not fall apart or become unsafe for the public.

And that is just the tip of the iceberg...

Neurosurgeons or architects,
both need levels of calculus or higher and most anything in the medical Field also requires at least calculus with other course including chemistry which as a whole chemistry is another math class where the variables actually exist lol!
