If it's a few doors away, then probably not. Most likely your wireless router isn't powerful enough for that.

However, hypothetically if he could get a signal from his house, then he definitely could use your wireless network.

Yes if the signal is strong enough... you could definately do it with a wireless router. The net would be slower the further one house is away from the wireless router. Some routers are better than others for increased distance. Or you could put a cable across the neighbour's roofs but i doubt they would be happy with that.

You could also give the other neighbours wireless amplifiers and ask if they can be kept in their houses... to boost the signal.. but again you would need understanding neighbours.

I could pick up and use my neighbours internet, but recently they finally encrypted it. You would have to encrypt yours and just make sure you both have the key so you can both access net.

If he is close enough. It depends on how strong your signal is, but if he is a couple of houses away and you have a weak signal I doubt it. If he is able to pick it up without dropping the signal, i suggest you put a password on the wireless connection so the both of you will know it and the rest of the neighborhood won't be using your connections.

If its 2 houses it depends on how close they are and a wireless signal may be able to be picked up between the two.

Then its possible. Try it and see! If his signal is too low, you might try a hi gain directional antenna. There is a product called a cantenna on the market and if his house is in line of site it should work.

Its unlikely to be good quality from 2 doors away! the signal is greatly reduced going through walls! but in theory as long as he knows your password, security key! (if its protected) then it should work!

If you use a directional antenna you should easily pick up the signal.
