Seems like most of the best pets I've had went by species name instead of personal name- I've had Cat, Kitty, Dog, Little Dog.....and Astrophe.
Astrophe is an excellent cat name, fun to introduce: ".....and this is my cat, Astrophe" (if you don't get it, say it out loud. If you still don't get it say it again. If you still don't, never mind, it's over your head.)

Looks like a snowball or fluffy but he looks a little cranky too.....how about Cookie Monster or Grouch.
We just got a kitten and named him Roma which os my husband's russian nickname.

The picture is a bit small. I always name my pets after family members, like aunt's and uncles... Give you an attachment to them...
