Either have your doctor write to your coaches to let them know that they could be causing you more unnecessary pain and possible long-term injury. Or print out the information from a website that describes the Osgood-Schlatters and point out that rest is essential. If they are really good coaches they should be looking out for their athletes. If all else fails you could get nasty and threaten a lawsuit...ha!

First you need to provide your coach with some education. A note from your doctor stating that you have the disease and your limitations and some reading on the disease would probably help immensely. Most doctors offices will write a note stating your diagnosis without a visit. To get limitations or restrictions you may need to make a visit. You also need to get your parents involved. In most states, children with medical conditions are still able to compete in individual sports with restrictions. The link below has very good info on the disease and what causes it. Hope that helps.

Obviously your coaches don't care about your health. Do what you think is best. Don't worry about what your coaches say.
