I live in Kentucky and I have notices that alot of our companies our doing incentives, they vary from company to company and area or county. Here are some of the incentives we are offered. I was assuming everyones states had these sort of programs

The Heating System Tune Up discount program is designed for consumers interested in improving the efficiency of their home's HVAC ductwork system. Qualified homes can have a certified contractor inspect the homeowner's heat pump or electric furnace and seal all accessible ductwork. Normally, a similar tune up would cost around $400 a unit, but Blue Grass Energy members only pay $50 plus $100 for each additional unit.
Duke Energy offers a rebate for their Kentucky electric customers to purchase compact fluorescent light bulbs for their homes. The rebate is redeemed by participating retailers at the time of purchase, and there is a limit of 12 bulbs. For a list of participating retailers, please refer to the program's website or the toll-free number provided.
hrough Nolin's Button-Up Program, residential customers can receive up to $600 in rebates after installing weatherization measures prescribed during a Nolin energy audit.

Nolin will also pay $200 to customers who convert from a gas or propane water heater to a high efficiency electric water heater. The electric water heater should meet these energy specifications:

* 50 Gallon minimum capacity
* .90 GAMA minimum efficiency rating
* R-16 insulation minimum
* 4500 Watts maximum element size

There are more where that came from just search for RECC (Kentucky) Hope that helped

Not sure about that, but if you get energy efficient A/C or appliances, you can sometimes get a tax credit. I'm from Kentucky, too.

Perhaps if you meet certain criteria, but otherwise...not likely. In most states, you could be given a donated fan to cool you, but that's only if you're elderly or disabled in some way.

I am a Kentucky resident, and I am not aware of any program such as what you described.

I heard, if you buy the new one from them, they will do all the installing free. So in essence, they are paying you.
