Mr Rogers was a bit of a fruitcake. I liked him (God only knows why) when I was five, but he wasn't my fave. Mr Dress-up was WAY cooler. But he was on at 5:00 and nothing else was. Other faves were Sesame Street and The Electric Company. The Friendly Giant was also pretty good.
Mr Rogers didn't do a whole heck of a lot: came in, took off his jacket and put on a sweater, removed his shoes and replaced them with slippers, fed the fish ... Boring. The part I liked was when he'd go visit the land whose name I forget now. The trolley was very cute.
Was he an exhibitionist? I guess anyone who chooses to get in front of a movie camera would be one.

Hi Neighbor,,, today we are going on a walk to visit one of our local stores. It is called Toys for Men-- it is what is known as a porn shop. Can you say porn shop--- thought you could. I need to get a new raincoat,,, it has been pretty wet in The Land of Make Believe. When we are done, we will then stop by and see Lady Aberlin, even though I am not suppose to. Can you say restraining order--- good,,, that is a piece of paper the police give you for showing your King Friday to your neighbor. Come on lets go,,,it will be fun.

He had a foot fetish or something. He changed his shoes a lot and wanted people to see his feet.
