by fun I mean, if you're not interested in attending or applying to Law School or Business School.

How much is each test? Like $100 each or something?

Aside from the wasted money and possible bruised ego, there are not that many cons. Some people do take the LSAT for fun (by fun I mean people who are not interested in going to law school), and if you get a high score, like 170+, then you can look into becoming a lsat prep teacher. I must say, it is pretty hard to get that kind of score with out any practice (or if you do not have a history of doing well on standardized tests). If you do want to take them and see how well you could possibly do I would suggest getting good prep books; get the two LSAT power score bibles for logic and reasoning and the officially released tests. If you keep taking the practice tests and review them your score can improve dramatically.

As for the GMAT, I don't really now that much about the test.

When I took the GMAT is was $200 or $250?

I wouldn't necessarily take it for fun as a challenge, it takes 4-5 hours to take the exam - it is more grueling than difficult. The math is 9th grade stuff.

Man, if you're just gonna do it for fun, just download a sample test from the official websites and take that. Why spend money on it? They're only good for a certain number of years and if you bomb it, why have an official bad score on the record?

the con is if you ever in the future want to apply to law school or gmat, and you retake the test, your orignial score that you didn't study for will also be sent

There shouldn't be a con, it broadens your horizons and it shows you what you are capable of. If you have a beautiful mind don't waste it!
