Right up to the limit is a safe bet on the all-around Lexus GS.
With spare change, the new Infiniti G35 is really a wonderful driver's car with the luxury. Similar european choices in the Audi A6 and BMW 5 series. It's a matter of what type of personality you're looking for in your car and how you intend on driving it. All of those are different and you have to test drive them.
With 50 grand in your pocket, it would be wise not to settle for a domestic. They are not nearly as refined in drive and luxury, especially compared to the european (German) cars, and are hardly as efficient as the Japanese premium sport sedans.

Well, you could either get a cheaper car with more accesories or a basic $50,000 car. do you want to show off your cash or do you want a fast car? good milage, retail value? what? i would wait it out for awhile, then get a new chevy camaro or a dodge challenger. you would be sure to get lots of heads turning when they come out. and with the new technology in them, you'd come out on top. enjoy!
