in truth there is no differences unless mind make it so...Freedom framed by mind is not freedom at all but limitations...That is why freedom cannot be conceptualized , only experienced..Any concept of freedom is a limitation. As I ve said meaning of freedom is imprisoned within our minds, have a courage to Free it...

Free means that you don't have to give anything to get something. Freedom is a state of being that is not always given alway for free. Like for example, people always talk about this in the government and about our liberty. Like the United States is called a free country because of the freedoms that the people here enjoy but those freedoms where purchased at the cost of tens of millions of peoples lives. This idea is debatable but I hope it helps you some to understand the difference, at least the difference I see.

The "dom" at the end --- the same ending as the word "kingdom," which implies some sort of government and structured society. Such a structured society (and one so populous) can be overpowering, and thus one needs to constantly fight to maintain emotional independence from overwork, discrimination, "drama," and so forth. Independence = freedom.
In addition, the word "free" is a concept that usually stands alone. "Freedom" usually implies some constrainment in the past, or from something close by. The statements "free as a bird" and "freedom from oppression" illustrate that.
Actually, I have no idea... Good luck!

Freedom is the state of being free. And its free because it doesnt cost anything to be able to be free. It costs time, money, and labor when people and society keep people from being free. It is free, but in some countries, there is no freedom. They are referring to countries that do not have freedom. So, it wouldnt be free to get freedom. But, you are talking about two different words. So, in essence, free is something that doesnt cost money and freedom is the state of being able to do what you wish, without limitations...

Freedom comes at a price. A very high price. Piceless infact.
Being free is a state of being.
Perhaps if we actually knew the price we might either choose not to be free or be more thankful for being free.
I can't begin to understand how free I am because I have never been in a place of non freedom.

I think the difference is the three letters "dom" added to "free". Those three letters change the entire meaning of being free because they bring in the environnment - the jungle, the society, the government, the rules of laws to ensure everybody is gauranteed the "free" things they are also entitled too.
So freedom always comes with many other responsibilities attached to it to give equal opportunity to everyone to enjoy life, libery, happiness and justice. So, you see "freedom" is not exactly the "absolute" freedom; it is always "relative" to the environment you live in.

Freedom has a threshold. The boundaries of freedom, what make freedom possible, are not themselves free. So, in the US, this is often said-- in order to have freedom, we need to fight for it etc.
Freedom is a state or condition with boundaries. Being "free" is contingent upon something being in that space. So while I'm free to vote for a representative, I'm not free to fly at will. In the former I'm located within a civil code that allows me to do so, in the latter I'm bound by physical laws which prevent the possibility.
So while a free action is an expression of one who has freedom, freedom itself is not free.

Free means free of charge. Freedom is yours but some do attempt to take it away from you. If they succeed then you are a slave. Having to go to work is not slavery because a slave cannot make his own decisions. You can decide what you do with your life (or at least that is the theory) and therefore you enjoy personal freedom.
