I just replaced the thermostat, no leaks, purged all the air out and topped off (I think) and it runs like the thermostat is stuck open. But from cold start the engine warms up in normal time while idling...What is causing the temp to drop as circulation increases with RPM's?

I agree, I think it's stuck open. Did you buy a 1.99 thermostat made in China. If so remove it and buy a good one. Try a Stant or O.E.M. replacement from Hyundai. The temp will drop with increased rpm because the thermostat is probably not regulating water temperature. Thermostats are designed to obviously open and close in order to keep an engine at a proper operating temp. If it's stuck open it can't do that. Also check your fan. Is it electric? If it runs all the time than that could be the problem as well.

Using the wrong thermostat, putting it in upside down, not having the air purged as good as you think or a bad connection to the sensor that gets worse as the engine warms up.

maybe your thermostat is stuck open or maybe you need to replace it with a higher temp thermostat.
