My PC is a Dell E310, currently running on 2x 256MB, 16Mb buffer, at PC2-3200. The Best Buy website states 667MHz PC2-5300 will work, but I want to know how specifically. What do I need to look for to get things done the right way? Anyone? I'm going for 2gigs for RAM.

The PC2-3200 is 400 MHz.
The PC2-5300 is 667MHz,

Usually the computer memory runs at the speed of the slowest RAM installed. I would only use the PC2-5300 667MHz.

Yes. DDR2 RAM will fit in a DDR2 slot and will work.
