Is the purpose fun, or do you intend it to have some educational value?
Try getting in touch with the closest institution of higher learning.
Maybe there's a place where they can learn about nature, and also spend some of the time running around and having fun.
Or historical sites, that have picnic and running around areas.
We don't know where you are and what's near you, so it's impossible to be more specific.

Well, when I was middle school, some field trips we went to were the House of Blues, Disneyland, Olvera Street (for spanish), this really neat lagoon, some art and science museums and I think in 6th grade we went to a zoo and a awesome play.
It really depends on your area. I live near Los Angeles so these places aren't far for me and are available to go to. It also depends on your budget too. Keep that in mind. Hope you go somewhere fun!♥

well it depends where you live. IF you lived in ohio you could go to the Velvet Ice Cream Place where they accually make it and you can take them afterwards to the store to get ice cream.

Maybe it would help if you mentioned the class you teach and where you live, so we could think of things close to you?
