To me, I think it is better to study with music. 1. Linkin Park, 2. Crystal Method, 3. Prodigy, 4. Fatboy Slim, 5. Engima and 6. Tiesto. But to me the best kind of music to listen to while studying is slow jams - Heart and Soul music - preferable ones that you havent heard in a minute so you wont be like trying to sing them and forget about studying. you want songs to motivate you to study and get work done.

You may not be a lover of classical music, but you should try Mozart for a change. I personally find it very refreshing and inspiring in the same time. I've heard of an experiment in which the subjects did better at the IQ test after listening to a Mozart's sonata :)

I guess you just have to experiment on your own and see what helps you best. I would say mellow music with no vocals, just instrumental, is the best bet. But, again, u have to experiment to see if it works for u. If you are better off without music, then don't use any music. Notice if u find yourself getting distracted or not when a piece of music is playing.

None of those would enhance my studying, but that's just me. My husband is a law student and listens to guitar music--Van Halen, Steve Vai, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Hendrix, Joe Perry, Eric Johnson. It works for him, but I have no idea how he concentrates with that in the background. Don't get me wrong, I like the music--I just find it distracting. I prefer softer instrumentals, jazz, and classical stuff for studying.

Ummmm....First of all I don't like any of your artists and second of all Music Distracts your mind....So concentrate on your studies I will say...But I like Linkin Park ...If my studies aren't that important like I just have to write something, then I would listen to music and will choose Linkin Park!!! Mark my words that music distracts your mind when you are studying That's all I have to say!!

I did this for a science project, and it is better to listen to music. Every person I tested was the worst while listening to no music and the best while listening to MCR. Rap, R$B, Classical and Country ere the other ones I tested and they all scored ion between.

But when i would try and study with no music I would get bored and distracted and want to do other stuff than study

If you felt you had to study with music, I would suggest listening to music w/o lyrics. Part of your brain will be singing along and distracted, even if it doesnt seem so...I would study w/o music if i were you...
