I mostly sleeps on my back, my arms stretched out straight along my sides or resting on my stomach.If I am laying awake the cramps never happens but should I fall asleep, upon awaking I have big task getting the circulation going in both arms. I am still getting my periods regularly.

Please see your doctor. It could be as simple as your arms "falling asleep" when you lay on them ackwardly. It could also be due to a slipped or bulging disk in your neck, vascular problems, nerve problems, or muscle problems. I'd need to do a physical exam and ask many more questions to tell you much more. Seeing a doctor in person will help much more than I can on the internet. Best of luck.

I'm not a doctor ... however, my mother has had issues with cramps before and it's always been a potassium issue. You might want to check with your doctor and get some blood work done to see if this is the problem ...

Are you under the impression that doctors spend their free time perusing Yahoo answers? All you'll get here is some guesses made from other people's experiences and the occasional smart *** remark. It sounds like you have a problem... go to the doctor's office... you know, where the doctors actually are.

sounds like you might have a pinch in your neck or in the upper spine, that's how mine started. go see the doc and insist on tests.
