I believe Love. But as many have pointed out they are like two sides of the same coin. But I think of it like this... If I truly loved someone (as I love my wife and son) I would be willing to die for them in a moments notice to save them. I cannot see ever hating someone so much that I would be willing to die to cause them pain.
I can see hate as being able to cause me to do many terrible things but it would never be at the expense of my own life.
I can see love as being able to cause me to do many wonderful things and if necessary I would give my life for a loved one.
Using this scale they are close but Love wins.

They are mirror images of the other. You can only hate someone you care enough about to warrant the emotion.

Hate, because that is a very strong emotion. Hate causes bad things, like murder or anything else destructive.

Love.
Love dispells hate. Hate requires resistance...a fight of sorts...and someone who is always loving towards you is difficult to hate.
It is easy to hate - the easy emotions have less strength.
