I got shocked by a charged capacitor once, that sucked...it burned me too.

stuck something in an electrical outlet as a kid (this was before the days of kid-proofing) - got quite a jolt
licked a battery once (on a dare)
that was rather unpleasant
been shocked several times by frayed electrical cords
(the 70's were very unsafe- for me anyway - electrically speaking)
I actually thought about that the other day.... that I can't remember the last time I smelled that distinctive smell of burning electrical wires or the smell of a blown electrical outlet.... the smell of my childhood.

This place where I worked one time it was a large office and all carpeted. The phone was ringing and I was in the back and had to rush up front to answer the phone. When I brought the mouthpiece to my head it shocked the heck out of me. Everything instantly stopped and I couldn't talk. Lasted only a few seconds but was that weird.
