That's for your safety. Your dad knows whats best for you. Myspace isn't the safest site to visit. You can get phished, or you can be fooled. Liespace I mean myspace is the place you should go if you want to be in trouble.

Since your parents say no to your using MySpace, here's how you can use MySpace at home:
1) Get a job.
2) Move out.
3) Buy your own computer.
4) Pay for your own Internet access.
As long as you're under your parents' roof, it's their rules, and you're just going to have to deal with it.
Oh, in case you're thinking of keeping a profile on MySpace and just going someplace else to get on it, STOP thinking of it. It's not that hard for a random search to turn up your MySpace profile, which means your parents could easily find you out anyway. And if they catch you using MySpace on the sly, that'll just prove that you're too immature to use the computer responsibly.
Best bet: bag MySpace for now. If they have some kind of breakthrough where they can boot out all the pervs and predators and there's a lot of news about it, then **maybe** in a few months you can try asking your dad about it again. Other than that, you're just going to have to find other stuff to do online.

Right
it's turned into an adults only place
if you continue using it you are going to become obssesed with wanting more friends
and talking with people you barely know
I support your dad's choice
Instead of going online
hangout with your friends
eventually they might forget about it
and you will be alright

Your dad is afraid for you. There are nasty people there looking for young kids. You can't even guess how bad these people are. Do as your dad says and grow up to be a nice person who doesn't have nightmares.

Yes, Keeping you off My Space is a great idea. If only for safety reasons; basically it has turned into an adults only place

when your dad was young i'm sure he wanted something too and his pop just couldn't understand.....just deal with it for a while to at least show him the respect of being the decision maker....then approach it again later on and he'll come around. in the meantime, just use your friend's computer ;)

You are going to have to live with your family for the rest of your live so you might as well get used to putting your family's need first and your friends second.

trust your father. he is trying to save you from yourself. you have no idea how many ways harm could come to you unless your a grownup. even some of the grownups don't know them all.
be smart and do what he says or you'll be sorry. don't do the dumb things your friends are doing.
if i knew your father i would tell him to keep you off of the internet com[pletely.

you should respect your dad's wishes. Don't you want your children in the future to respect your wishes.
