You will need to get a program program that will read the key codes for installed programs in your computer.

The best FREE one I have found is Belarc Advisor
Download it from http://www.download.com/Belarc-Advisor/3000-2094_4-10636466.html?tag=lst-0-1
Install and run it. It will reveal the key code used when the program was installed

I am not sure what the other responders are talking about. Just go to Help > About on the menu (on Word, Excel or any of the other MS Office programs) and the product ID is right there
