Only those who have been hurt in the past. If you are one of them, then you are not ready to move into a new relationship until you can get past this stage. A new relationship has nothing to do with what has happened in your past and should not be penalized for someone else who has broke your heart.

Many people build walls around their hearts just as many people leave their hearts open. You don't have to cynical to think feel.....but I'm one to talk right? Anyway, the feel of hurt is not a comfortable feeling but it is an inevitable feeling that is needed in life to mature oneself. But if you keep your heart contained for too long, you're going to miss the one who should be there.

For people who want a serioys relationship building a wall around their heart is more than neccsesary. Thw orld can be a cruel place and it can bombard us with surprises. U'll be surprised to see how vunerable we can be to love. A relationship which as been carefully thoughtof; for example the concept of a walled heart can make the hurt which may be to come more bearable. So in conclusion you find out that people who are serious about their relationship mostly protect themselves and it takes another special person to get over the wall.

Hell yeah, I've opened my heart twice, first time it was trampled on, the second it was ripped out, had petrol poured all over it and torched. I make no excuses for being a heartless be-atch, in fact I'm proud of it now because it means nobody can hurt me any more. I only have exceptions for my kids, feck everyone else.
Sad but true....

Along with stone, mud and animal parts, wood was one of the first materials worked by early humans. Microwear analysis of the Mousterian stone tools used by the Neanderthals show that many were used to work wood. The development of civilization was closely tied to the development of increasingly greater degrees of skill in working these materials.

Nope, I've been a mason for years. I've made walls of stone, brick, cinder blocks, etc., but never around my heart. I had oper-heart surgery a few years ago - - - - there were no walls.

Yes. People hurt you if you open up to them. They either betray you or trample all over your feelings. Big walls around this heart...
