Well to quote my pastor... Go ahead ... let them marry, they should be as miserable as the rest of us! LOL
Honestly it was a joke. Whatever, it's their sin, not yours.
You vote against it, others will vote for it. You can't judge them for their sins just as they aren't to judge you for yours. Live and let live, they'll account for theirs just as you will yours and I will mine someday. It will be what it will be no matter what you try to do. Don't waste your energy on the spec in your brothers eye.

I work with a bunch of gay guys and I've worked with some in the past...lezbos, too. In my opinion, gay people are some of the nicest, most caring and hilarious individuals on the planet. The ones I've known are usually gentle, compassionate and sometimes maybe a little giddy and flambuoyant about their gayness, but it's fun to be around for me. I appreciate diversity in the world. I don't think God is against gay people and their happiness. How could he hold a grudge against these wonderful people ? I really don't think he does. There's too much evilness in the world for him to be concerned about people who prefer to be homosexual. Look at the bigger picture. This is not an issue...I don't care what the Bible happens to say about it. Who says the Bible is completely accurate, anyway ? Man had a hand in actually writing this book and we all know a lot of men's character in this world. So I'm not so sure we should place so much emphasis in something that man had such a big hand in. I believe in God but I'm not so sure about everything the Bible states and prophecies. So...lay off the gay people. They're some of the best people around.

How many times have I come across an over religious over zealous person whose eyes have been blinded? More times than I count on my hands and toes. I can not tell you what to think, if you think at all. Know that I am not trying to act bad with the keyboard that lies in front of me however I am most content. But I am curious how do you speak for someone especially a higher being? How do you know for sure on what "GOD" calls a "SIN?" Because honestly that has been pondering my mind since I was seven years old, and trust me I have to find any Priest, Minister, nor Reverend to answer that question, and since you seem so sure I would really like to hear what you have to say. I mean if you can speak for the "Almighty," I would definitely love to hear it. I think truly a lot of us would love to hear it.

Where ever you found that line that "Man should not lay with man" I don't remember seeing that in any bible. Hopefully you know a little history, that the bible was written two hundred years after Jesus and by man no less the same men that thought women were nothing but property and mindless whores to do their bidding's. Written by men who had no morals nor integrity. The bible has so many contradictions that it took me three days just to get through Genesis and still till this day I don't understand it. But it seems that your easily brainwashed so you can tell me what that's all about. It's amazing isn't it? We still live in a world where there is constant hate, and fear among brethren. We say that we are not prejudice or hateful but then something like this comes up. Hypocritical bull that's what I call it. I'm going to tell you something that my mother tells me and everyone else all the time and swear to your "Almighty God" that it works. You're going to need me before I need you so you better watch it. So you're going to need a Gay (or would you prefer me to say "a f**" since they're such sinful people) before they need you, so you better watch it. But I don't think you care about what I say, cause I sure in the hell can't open your pretty little eyes. Nope, not until your life is on the line and it's actually up to someone who cares. I'm not preaching, I don't like to preach, I'm just cruel integrity.

I do not think that gay marriages should be banned. Funny how all of the sudden the Bible is gospel again, after how many schools have had the pledge of allegence taken out because of the reference to God?

These people probably have stronger love for each other than most of us do in our Heterosexual relationships because they have to fight for it. Marriage is an institution that is taken for granted by most and made a mockery of. If a man loves another man, why shouldn't they be able to make it legal and get a tax break and insurance coverage? It doesn't impact your life. Same thing with two women. Oh, unless its two HOT lesbians...then THAT's OK, right guys? What a bunch of hypocrits everyone is.

I'm a 30 yr. old woman and I'm married to a man. I don't think that's going to get me into heaven, just like I don't think that 2 gay men or women are going to hell over it. I think there are way more important issues in this country to worry about than whether or not we should allow same-sex marriages.

Get a life, People!!!

I am very happy to hear about your belief in religion.
I'm not really sure how much it relates to GOD.
As for your quote, it is old testament and not much related to Christianity. It was more intended to seperate the Hebrews from the Romans who often enjoyed the company of boys as well as multiple gods and graven images. The bible may have been written with divine guidance but it certainly was written by men to control men.
That being said, I think you should belive anything you like and live according to whatever ethical rules you wish. But please do not presuppose to inflict your sense of right and wrong on a populace who may not buy your interpretation of a book written about 2000 years ago.
Your religion is about your faith. There is really NO PROOF. Others can appropriately argue that your religion is a fairy tale and that God does not exist. Why then should the rules of the 21st century be based upon fiction?
I really think that any religion that promotes anti gay language is way offbase. I do not think that Jesus would support the attitude of hate and shame you are promoting. My religion promotes forgiveness and love.
Remember, " he who is without sin" well you should know the rest.

I you are a very ignorant person, first off the bible was written by a man, not a god, it was just his interpretation of what his god said, look at how many times the bible has been rewritten, and there in absolutely no proof what so ever a god really ever existed, it so hard for me to believe that in this day and age people still believe in the magic man in the sky, and if you believe in god then you must believe god made everything for a purpose, well then god made gays, also if you go on reading your bible you would find stealing is a sin, so should we just start killing all the people that steal, or we could just chop off their hands!! and what of all the priests we have caught molesting children? but they won't even turn them over , they just move them to another area to keep on molesting, you Bible thumpers and some of the biggest hypocrites in the world! I say let the gays be as miserable and the rest of us married people, and if you are going to say marriage is for people to procreate, then all marriages should have to produce offspring, or you can't get married!! so any straight people out there who can't reproduce should not marry, right? your totally ridiculous!!

1. I disagree
2. Can you make this same argument leaving "God" out of it for those of us who are atheist or agnostic?
3. Narrow minds should be banned

Not everyone wants to reproduce. Heterosexuals don't always get it right, as evidenced by the divorce rate. What's unnatural is heterosexuals saying that gay marriage is a threat to traditional marriage. Not all of us believe in "the most Perfect Being", but that's a whole other post for a different day.

To be honest with you, I don't care if gays get married. It's none of my business what they do with their lives just as it's none of my business what you do with yours, or anyone else for that matter. That's what's wrong with some people in this world. Everyone is in everybody elses business but their own. Worry about your own life and leave others alone. Life is to short to bother with and preach about other peoples so called sins. Premarital sex is a sin too but no one's complaining about that, they only complain about the ones that bother them, and that's absolutely shameful. There are more horrible things going on in the world, war, murder, abortion, racism and so on. The list is way to long and only getting longer and all your worried about is two people of the same sex that love each other. Like I said before.... life is to short to worry about others personal lives. And if your wondering if I'm gay....No I'm not. Just tired of people preaching about how others should live their lives. May God bless you.

I don't agree with it, but having said that marriage is a personal thing. I married my husband under God, but others don't include God or religion in their marriage or lives, so for everyone marriage is a different thing. I am a Christian and understand that homosexuality is a sin, just like lying, stealing, swearing, adultery, gossip etc but I believe that gay people deserve God's love and compassion just like anyone else (we're all sinners). Remember, it's not our job to judge...

Jesus declares that the person judging will be judged (v. 1) because judging assumes a divine prerogative; final judgment belongs to God alone, and those who seek to judge others now will answer then for usurping God's position (see also 6:12-15).

God Will Judge Us the Way We Judge Others (7:1-2)

May God bless you!

I do NOT agree. there was a time when people viewed interracial marriage in the same light. Religious beliefs should not influence the law, this is why we have a seperation of church and state.

If you are going to make laws based on a certain religions belief than you should makes laws based on ALL religious beliefs not just yours. Also if this is how we are going to think then prayer should be allowed back in school and people should have no problem wish someone else a Merry Christmas!

So you ASSume that EVERYONE on this planet has the same religion as you? You're spouting scripture and 'god's' word yet you pass judgement on other's can't be much of a Christian then...Besides marriage isn't a Christian union. ORIGINALLY marriage had nothing to do with ANY religion, it was a totally civil union. Maybe you need to open up a history book once in awhile....
