The only problem with this is, since I have joined I've went back to college, started dating an amazing guy, and got a pretty good job. Now I don't know if I want continue on with the military, any advice.... oh i'm only in DEP right now so I can technically get out by writing a letter!

I was in for 6 yrs and made the military my life, you can still be patriotic by doing your part and supporting the troops, but if your life is going good right now & you're in college, do that. I worked 16 hr days as a supervisor for 5 of the 6 yrs and had no strength left to go to college. Now that I'm out, I'm working as a receptionist, so you do the math. Plus, traveling is so much nicer when you don't have to work or worry about being bombed, etc. while you're in another country. And plus, you've got to salute people all because they graduated from college! Pretty much, the military is a great plan, if you're certain you're staying in for 20 yrs, but if you get hurt, etc. then it spits you back out & you're as marketable as you were before you left for the military, even less, because they look at you like you've been out of touch from the real world the whole time you were in. Why do you think there are so many reservists? So you've got a good life now, continue having it - finish college and pursue your career. Good luck with your decision!
