It seems like there is more research into Al Gore's utility bills than any legitimate scientific inquiry into whether CO2 emissions are causing climate change.

It is doubtful that any of us will make Al Gore live any less lavishly than he wants to.

Whether CO2 is doing any harm or not, it still makes sense not to waste our energy resources.

This response is being written under fluorescent light, which is a great way to save yourself money and cut CO2 emissions at the power plant. Does your home use fluorescents instead of incandescent lamps? How about your school, church and workplace? Talk it up. You might even offer to relamp some place like your church or school. They both probably use a lot of "can" lights with R40 or R30 incandescent reflector lamps. This is an easy job. Simply adjust the lamp socket up, to take the slightly longer lamp (usually there is a wingnut that you can reach easily through the lamp opening). Then screw in the new lamp, which operates on about 70% less power. It operates cooler too, so it cuts air conditioning costs as well. You can do a lot to help the environment with just a little effort. If you feel generous, offer to donate a couple cartons of lamps. It won't break you, and maybe it wll help your pastor decide to let you do it.

Are you starting to think like a Conservative now?

Actually, if you did any sort of research you would be more skeptical about Global warming. Simply accepting what you've been told is not an indicator of intelligence. The facts simply don't confirm what the alarmists (many of whom are just as culpable of political influence from the left as some on the right are by "Big Oil") want us to believe.

I'm already way ahead of the curve. I'm starting my campaign to warn everybody about the next exciting environmental scare, Global shrinking.

Eh. People are stupid. Anyone who claims there will be no negative global environmental impact from humans' unprecedented use of fossil fuels and chemicals, destroying of forests and animal habitats, and piling up of landfills is out of his/her mind. Our earth has historically _never_ had to deal with the s.hit we've put it through in just the last 100 years.

A professor of mine recently wrote on government and public officials' rhetoric surrounding a case in which a poisonous gas released from the burning of plastic, dioxin, was found in the environment of a remote Alaskan town. The nearest place the dioxin likely came from was a large trash-burning facility in Ohio. These man-made chemicals that the earth has never seen (such as those resulting from the burning of plastics) _do_ spread, and they are going to affect us all in one way or another.

Don't worry, soon there will be plenty of research to suggest that humans aren't to blame for the "climate changes." However, I think it's interesting to see that the leader of this whole movement owns what appears to be one of the largest carbon footprints, hmmm.

Hi. Actually, methane gas has 22 times the reflective property of CO2 pound per pound. It's also emitted naturally by humans and animals.

In addition, we actually produce less CO2 than we consume as a continent. (Produce 1.6 billion metric tons while consume 1.7 billion metric tons)

It's difficult to understand why people are afraid of CO2 emissions.

EDIT: Thumbs down? My apologies for the use of factual information. I wasn't aware that was offensive.
