Three teams to keep an eye on are Texas A&M, Nevada, and Maryland. A&M is highly ranked, but doesn't have the assurance of a UNC or Duke. They will certainly make the elite eight, and probably the final four if they are in the San Antonio bracket; and an underdog who could win it all. Nevada is a team again who is ranked, but nobody really knows about them. They have tons of experience, as does A&M, and that can't be underestimated. They have one of the best players in the nation, like the aggies, and one great player could win a close game. They are a lock for the sweet sixteen, and could maybe advance further. Maryland is probably the hottest team in the nation. They are playing great b-ball right now and the teams on a roll at this time are usually the teams that make a run.
PS. one more team is Georgetown, if the bracket gives them favorable matchups, they could be in the elite eight with a shot at the four.

I have two sleeper teams for the tournament. One from the ACC and one from the Pac-10. Maryland is getting hot at the right time. They just beat Duke and UNC. They are a team that is also talented. If they continue playing how they have been, they could be Final 4 quality. My second pick is more a sleeper than Maryland. Oregon has a get leader and scorer in Aaron Brooks. He can get the job done a lead his team deep in the tournament. I believe they are Elite Eight quality, but if they play a so-so team in the Elite Eight a Final Four bid is that far to reach. Remember, they beat the top three teams in their conference including the very talented UCLA. Watch the Terps and Ducks for upsets.

I think teams that could surprise people are Xavier, Winthrop, amd Washington St. But the team i think will surprise the most people is Maryland, they are on fire right now at the right time, beating UNC and Duke last week and have won 7 in a row.

I believe the PAC-Ten conference is deep with good teams but the team I would pick to surprise everyone other than those Oregonians will be the University of Oregon basketball team.

I hate to say it, but Syracuse.
Their numbers have Elite 8 written all over them.
- They are also the only team to have beaten Georgetown since Jan 13.

i think of there are literally some intense-ranked significant convention communities that are somewhat awful (Ohio State and Wisconsin spring to strategies). i think of a mid-significant team ought to truthfully beat one in all them. Hell, WInthrop took Wisconsin to OT, and had UNC down 8 late interior the 2d a million/2....
