I for one can't take them or anything they stand for. My liberal friends and I have to avoid politics or my face gets red and I feel like I'm going to explode.

I don't know of that many liberal republicans, but I can definitely respect some conservative democrats along the line of former senator Bob Kerrey (D-Nebraska). I'm not a religious freak either, but I think liberals focus too much on the minor details and being PC when there are MUCH more important issues here than just making eachother feel good.

Liberals are great party animals, although you've got to watch out for diseases when you're around them. If they do talk about politics, just don't use logic. That'll really tick 'em off. Oh, btw. I once met Bill Clinton and even shook his hand. Real nice guy, although I made sure I washed my hands afterwards.

no offense, but Liberals tend to 'tolerate' bigoted, one-sided, close-minded tyrants who insist the world live by their standards. Conservatives like yourself (i guess), tend to 'explode' when someone challenges their Authoritie or Intelligents. you shouldn't talk politics with your friends or anyone else for that matter. You have no idea what its really all about. go get in your lexus, run down to Starbucks and Cry some more. I am not Democrat or Republican. I am not Conservative or Liberal. I am an American, born and Raised. I am lower middle-class and have worked hard all my life. This is what I know. America is not a Democracy. It is not a Nation 'of the people, by the people, for the people.' it is a Business. Corporations own us. we are nothing more than tools. They control us with the media, they have nothing better to do than constantly make new laws DAILY that chip away at Privacy and Freedom. and as for our 'elected representatives' ha ha ha. Bill Clinton, good President? can't say. as a working man I can say I did well under Bill. GW Bush? your kidding right? the guy rode a short bus to school. oh thats right, wealthy, priviledged Americans don't have to be bussed. well, anyway, some thing to think about, in Washington State, they are proposing a law making it illegal to 'Boo' at public events. hey conservatives, stop telling us what to do. Liberals, quit crying about it. As a People, don't you think its time we get Real? thanks

Why can we tolerate company welfare and unregulated lending practices supported by conservatives for the final 8 years? What a contradiction of middle values. Republicans prefer much less government yet have created regulations increasing government i.e PATRIOT ACT. additionally they're against maximum social classes except it reward Wall highway i.e. $seven-hundred billion bailout which they only voted down because of the fact of regulations tacked on by Democrats. "If i won't manage to grant my friends a no strings linked examine because of the fact they screwed up i'm unlikely to vote for it" or the (R) representative from Virginia "i replace into fascinated concerning to the bill till Nancy Pelosi made relaxing of Republicans (sobs), she's a great meany (wahhhhhh!!)" "My emotions have been injury, i prefer a lolli"

I know how you feel. Most of my friends are conservative and we love to talk politics...and I'll admit I am no Kool Aid drinker at the polls, although I basically vote conservative because most of the conservative candidates represent the ideals I believe in. On the other hand my liberal friends and I can come nowhere near the politics topic or there are some very heated exchanges. I really can find no substance to any of their arguments.

I consider myself somewhat liberal and I have conservative friends, middle of the road friends, left-wing, right-wing - whatever. Political affiliation should not be a point of contention for all of us - this is a free country founded on free ideas and personal freedoms - i.e. democracy. I think that you are just a hateful person and have picked liberals to take the brunt of your excessive anger.

They're not ALL bad but too many of them lie and others lie only because they believe someone else's lies. I have liberal friends who don't lie.

Don't judge them all for what a few on these boards do and say.

Your lack of "toleration" is exactly why liberals need to save this democracy and if you don't like it leave...Without liberals you wouldn't be able to even voice your question on this forum.
And you should do something about your "red face" and anxiety maybe practice yoga or something that helps you find peace inside and then it will spread to the outside...
peace

They kind of annoy me. Just respect your friends opinions, they're entitled to it. I have really conservative friends and I have to roll my eyes to some of their stuff too. Political conversations are like that. You won't change anybody's mind, just raise blood pressures.

Wow, such anger and hatred. You actually let liberals get you that fired up? Maybe the problem is you. I have a good friend who's a conservative. We debate all the time and we are respecful in our views. I understand where he's coming from and he does understand me too, even if we are different. We listen and we don't hate. To dislike someones views so much isn't healthy.
