What is the calculation to get an hourly dollar amount on your annual income? For example, if your annual salary is 75,000 how do I find out what that is hourly.

Thank you!

If there is no overtime, take 75,000/2080 = 36.05769231/Hr.

.

Divide 75,000 by 52 weeks then by 40 hours

it would be roughly $36/Hr.

far off from the $150 / hr lawyers get :D

That would depend on how many hours you work. For a normal worker in the U.S., there are about 250 working days per year and 8 hours of work per day. That's about 2,000 working hours per year. $75,000 per year divided by 2,000 hours per year is $37.50 per hour.

divide salary by 2000

52 weeks per year
minus two weeks vacation
50 weeks

standard workweek = 40 hours

50x40=2000
75,000 / 2000= 37.50 per hour

of course your employer may have you work a lot more than this amount, so it all depends.

like this:

Annual divide by 52 weeks divide by number of hours per week

75000 / 52 / say 40 hours? = $36.057
