His wife is already screwing him around by keeping his bills and adding herself to his insurance policies and adding herself to his credit cards. What can he do about this? They have no kids together.

1. Cancel / Close EVERY card that they have jointly or see about having her removed and blocked from being a user.
2. Call the insurance companies and have her removed from his policies - explain the situation - and make sure they know not to readd her or talk to her if she calls regarding the policies.

Unless he has given her permission or authorization to use his credit cards and put herself on any kind of policy,she cannot do it. It is against the law. He should call his credit card companies and tell them that she is not authorized,which they should already know and that you are not responsible for any transactions she would make.Call a good divorce attorney,sometimes they offer free first consultation and tell him or her everything that is happening. Make yourself notes to take with you if you have too. Don't let her think she's getting the best of you .Call your creditors,let them know she is NOT an AUTHORIZED USER of any of your cards.Then call your insurance people.

Only the main card holder can add an authorized user so I'm not sure how she could have added herself. Regardless, he should call all his credit cards and banks and notify them of the situation. Then, get a lawyer.

He should get himself a solicitor and they will take care of it. He should also call everyone he has an account with and tell them that he has not given permission for anyone to be added, he has split from his wife and she is doing it to screw him over. The companies can take her off and stop her from putting herself back on. He can also speak to the police and find out if there is anything they can do (as technically, he needs to have given his permission for his wife to do that, if he hasn't its fraud on his wifes part).
Solicitors will do divorces on legal aid as well as paid, if he doesn't get a good one then he'll loose out big time.

He needs to close all the accounts, and open new accounts in his name only. Then have his mail send to a PO box, or to his work. Then talk to a lawyer, and get the divorce started. As far as the life insurance, when they divorce, he can remove her or remove her now, or just cancel the insurance.

He can call all the companies he doesn't want her name associated with his and drop it! Be proactive.
Then, move out and file. Be sure and document all the stunts she pulled to get credit rating.
