Eyelash curlers work best on clean eyelashes. Make sure eyelashes are free of mascara. If necessary, use eye makeup remover to remove old mascara.

With your blowdryer on low heat, blow air on the curler for no more than 5 seconds. Touch the metal. If it's hot, let it cool for a few seconds. You don't want to burn your eyelid.

Open the curler, clamp lashes near the roots. Hold for 10-30 seconds. Never curl lashes after you apply mascara -- as the mascara dries, lashes can stick to the curler & be torn from the roots. Don't bother curling bottom lashes.

Repeat on the other eye.

okay, let me say first, curl your eyelashes, before you put on the mascara.

my eyelashes are naturally curled. if you want them to be naturally curled, do what i did. i started doing this when i was little, it was a habbit, but anyway.....when your not wearing mascara, take your finger and push your eyelashes up, not hard though, just give them a really gentle push. do this all the way to the end of your eyelashes. do it 10 to 20 times, 5 to 10 times a day for about a month or two (by the frist two weeks, it'll probaly become a habbit).but while you are doing this "eyelash pushing process" keep curling your eyelashes (it helps the process start working faster.

once your eyelashes have a natural curl, you dont have to do that anymore, they'll stay curled.

The key is a good eyelash curler and a gentle hand.

First, you should curl prior to applying mascara.

To avoid the crimp, do not squeeze the curler too hard. The only amount of pressure that is needed is enough to close the eyelash curler.

Also, you will get a more natural curl if you clamp the curler once at the root of your lashes and once halfway between the root and the tips of your eyelashes.

To avoid pulling them out, make sure the eyelash curler is clean, free of any mascara, and be sure not to move the curler until it is open and no longer clamping your eyelashes.

I do it before applying my mascara & then I let it dry for about 3 minutes & curl them again & apply a second coat. My eyelashes look longer & stay curled all day since I do it that way.

The best time to curl your lashes is before you apply mascara. If you do it after is when they stick to the curler and get pulled out. If you use a lash curler you will get a crimp. Try some of the extending lash mascaras. They do a great job at making your lashes look longer. Also you could use eyeliner on the top set of lashes for more pop. Don't do it on the bottom though it makes your eyes smaller. Good Luck

Its best to curl your eyelashes before applying mascara, because the curler is what curls it most, and if you just want a little extra lift, thats when u use the mascara

i'm in splendor college perfect now and we actual coated this 2 days in the past. Curl your eyelashes first practice mascara immeaditley afterwards and then wait 2-3 minutes practice 2d coat and then curl ur lashes one extra time. this allows the mascara to set with the curled eyelashes if it extremely is wise. sturdy success :-) plus as quickly as ur eyelashes are curled it makes your eyes look extra opened and unsleeping its impressive :-)

Always before mascara. As for avoiding the "crimp", it's pretty simple; start clamping lightly at the base of your eyelashes then "walk" the curler up, clamping lightly and releasing continuously as you do so. That creats a nice curled effect with no crimping. At least for me it does, but I do have very long eyelashes. Give it a try, though, even if yours are short.

Always curl them before putting mascara on them to avoid pulling them out.
