is there a way to erase all the subfolders in a directory while keeping files inside? (Move files to one dir)?

I have a directory on my computer that has several folders with even more files. I want to erase all the folders and save the files in one directory. is there a freeware program or method that anyone knows to be able to do such a thing?

I haven't heard of a program to automate this task. You should first make sure the files are not needed for another program. If they are just personal files such as jpg's I would use Explorer and click on the files you want to move and drag to the new location. You can't delete the folders until all the files are moved or deleted.
